For those who don’t live in the United States this one by Ze Frank probably won’t make all that much sense. But, it’s a funny guide to surviving visits with family.

I once spent Thanksgiving with a friend of mine who was from Austria. He had gone to culinary school in Austria and promised to cook a turkey Austrian-style. When I told him that I didn’t think that other countries celebrated Thanksgiving, because it was an American holiday, he looked at me like I was an idiot. “Of couse we celebrate Thanksgiving,” he said. “We have things to be thankful for too.”

Nice to see someone consider those of us outside of the US. It is a refreshing change.

Ze’s aligning of the Thanksgiving ritual with current U.S. foreign policy is priceless. Even more so was his posting from today (Nov. 22) where he gives not only deconstructs the meaning of “thanks” but then turns it back to become his own heartfelt thanks to everyone in his community.
He made me cry.
Ze is carving a path for the online conversation that cuts deep into the roots of all culture – old and new – and which will be a road upon which we all tread for many years to come.
Thanks, Ze.

Admit it, you are hooked! You can’t put the pipe down. You start reloading the page at around 1:30PST and don’t close the page until he posts.
He has also incorporated some of the best comedy tricks; “The more personal, the more universal”.
