Dave Winer notes that the Telegraph said I was mostly “silent” on the issue of Windows Vista. Hmmm, I don’t know that I’d define putting a two-hour video up about Windows Vista and OSX as being “silent.”
But, unlike Dave, I have a copy of Windows Vista and I like it. I’ve already said so much about Vista over the past four years. I’m not sure what else to say other than “congratulations.”
Regarding my videos, Maryam says at least 10 people watched the videos and emailed her (we gave her email address at the end of the second video). Damn, that’s nine more than I was expecting.

I will be brutally honest here: I don’t watch your videos. I tell myself I don’t have the time, but it might also be because I’ve conditioned myself to get information on the internet in concentrated spurts of time. Videos I watch are typically less than 5 minutes long (and I run a blog that just shows videos), text I read is typical blog entries that are short, and… well, that’s most of it. I’m a big photography nut, but I can barely find the time to watch photoshop.tv every Monday. The idea of watching any video that’s 30-60 minutes long is hard for me to swallow, and certainly not something I aspire to do when it’s about Windows Vista or an interview with the CEO of some company whose product I might use.
That being said, I do like your blog. Besides the occasionaly flip-out about other blogs I don’t read not linking enough, I really like it; it’s a pulse of all things techosphere.
Perhaps I’m just not your target demographic, though.

Thanks Robert. Leaving Vista aside, this gave the prod I needed to sit and think (and type) about why I can’t usually get into audio or video content. It’s no coincidece the verb for consuming web content became “browse” rather than “read”. For me, with my short attention span and too much to absorb, it’s all about length and browsability.
