All about the conversation

I love this photo of Dave Winer and my son, Patrick, deep in conversation yesterday during sunset. I’m uploading a ton of other photos right now to Flickr and SmugMug to compare those two services. More on those later but if you want to watch along my Flickr account is here and my SmugMug account is here.

  1. Sweet, Robert! Would love to know what things you like I about each – I suspect that, like quite a few of our customers, you’ll opt to use both since both have their own strengths.

BTW, you chose one of the Themes I really like (Carbonite), but I should warn you that it’s one we haven’t made SmugMungous yet. We will, soon, but if you want to see your photos BIG, you might want to try some of the others out. The default, and about 50% of the other (I think) are SmugMungous’d already.

    Have fun!

  4. Diego: I thought the same thing. Both Moore and Winer are people I would like to meet too!

Great picture. Patrick is a lucky kid to get to know so many people at such a young age.

  6. Smugmug is a winner. I am a former Flickr pro converted over to Smugmug. The primary reasons for me were 1) Speed, 2) Layout control and 3) Private based on password.

They are very responsive when I have questions.
