Ian Hsu told me this when we were photowalking at Stanford: that the Facebook class is standing room only and that tons of people have been asking to get in and can’t. No more seats.
Anyway, Dave McClure, who also runs the Graphing Social Patterns conference that I’m speaking at (starts today) linked to a video essay by one of his students in the class about why Facebook works.
Speaking of Stanford this week I have some really awesome videos coming out of there (one from a doctor working on IT in the Children’s Hospital, one from a photo/graphic researcher, and one from the robot helicopter team). More later in the week.
Hey Robert, just seen this post, do you post that stuff into your blog? would be helpful and definitely interesting!!! thank you so much!

I’ve also noticed a major growth on craigslist of companies looking for “Facebook Developers”. And this isn’t just the valley, I’m talking about NYC.

thanks for the link Robert… matt is a really amazingly bright guy. and there are several others in the class who are also very talented. i have a feeling i’m going to end up learning more from them than vice versa! but regardless, it’s going to be a really fun semester working with them ๐
see you at the show!

Writing apps for Facebook is easy. Do these guys really need to take a class in it?

Hey Robert,
I’m Dan, the head Course Assistant for the Stanford Facebook class. Yes, students on campus have been really excited about the class and we’ve upped our enrollment cap to about 90 (from 40!) There’s a lot of great energy in the air, especially with 90 of us squeezed into one classroom. ๐
Stay tuned, because I’m sure that our students are going to launch some really cool apps over the next 6-8 weeks.
