Speaking requests, off the grid

I’ve been getting a TON of speaking requests, including for places like India and Korea and Italy. Yikes. I could spend all my time speaking and no time doing my shows or building PodTech’s network.

Anyway, one that I’ll be at is the Blog Business Summit, in Seattle in October. That should be interesting this year cause there’s a LOT of new businesses blogging. Heck, just check out all the real estate agents getting into blogging lately, thanks to the Inman Real Estate newsletter, which Stan tells us is the one that agents follow most.

While I’m off the grid I’ll look at my calendar and make some decisions. Sorry if I haven’t gotten back to you yet. I’ve been VERY bad at answering email the past month. Naughty, naughty Scoble.

Anyway, I did set up a wiki for our off the grid campout. My mom’s house is totally full, but if you’re up in Montana next week, please do stop by. The beer is free. Just be warned that you might be videoblogged.

  1. I wish I could go to Off-The-Grid! I’m a boy scout and I love to camp; but I’m in very north-east (Scobey) Montana, and it would be a 522 mile trip. Doesn’t seem too bad compared to how far you are going, Scoble, but I’m only 17. 😦 Anyways, hope you guys have a blast!

  5. I like people like you Scoble. You have one of the busiest inboxes on the planet yet you still apologise when you get behind.

  9. Brad Inman, founder of Inman News, is a serial web entrepreneur. In addition to the real estate news service and conferences they run, Brad founded homegain.com which sold to Classified Ventures last year. He’s in the video space now with a really cool business: turnhere.com, where he has local videographers record their communities and get paid.

I think there is a recent interview on beet.tv with him. If you guys haven’t met yet you really should. I had a chance to work with Brad back in the first bubble..good times…good times…

  11. interesting to note that the link to the wiki page has Google ads.

I know that you’ve stated the we’d always be forewarned about services or items provided for free as a result of your perceived blogger “status”. Shouldn’t that include being forewarned about links that directly make money for you, Robert?

    Booger

  15. I am one of those Realtors that is just discovering blogging from the Inman article. I’m totally new to all of this but everything I read keeps bringing me right back to your blogs, so I thought I’d make my first comment ever and try to learn a little more about all of this. Thanks for all of the great info with a personal twist!
