Bruno Giussani is the guy you wish you sat next to in college. He takes amazing notes from the sessions we’re sitting in at LIFT.

Robert:
Perhaps someone is already doing it but I think it would be very useful if conference organizers created a wiki page for each speaker.
The wiki page might be initially populated with the notes from the speaker which could then be edited and added to by conference participants.
If the wiki were available online (say as a sub domain at the conference’s domain) and there was wifi the wiki could be edited in real time by everyone present. By the end of the presentation that wiki would be very useful.
You might call it wikinotes?
No reason students couldn’t do this in lectures as well or even executives at large meetings.
Now that’s what I wish I had when I was in college.

Did you mean LIFT? I went to check out his blog and couldn’t find anything on DEMO 07.

Char: sorry about that. Yeah, I meant LIFT. I guess I still have Demo on my mind. 🙂

Was he using OneNote? I think it’s a great piece of software. I definitely wish I had it in college, but there weren’t many laptops around in those days. 🙂

Hey you,
I am the guy (woman) you sat next to in college (at least in Editing and Media Law).
I have been reading your book (Good job!) and lately “Lifehacker” and have been trying to put it all to good use.
Keep up the good work. There are evidently great resourses outside of the tech community where folks like me can try to keep up. Support them. They may be what all of us need to keep the momentum going.

Bob,
I sat next to Bruno during a session at the LIFT conference. He didn’t seem to be paying attention – he was busy typing on his computer. I began to get annoyed and I wondered why he bother to attend. Later he was a panel discussion leader I figured out he was the guy writing these comprehensive comments. I actually got more out of some of his comments than I did from the actual talk.

Well Robert, thank you. Also for the great contribution to the panel. (PS: the URL of my blog has changed: http://www.LunchOverIP.com) See you at the next conference. And, David: sorry for the typing, I guess I should encourage conference organizers to set up liveblogging corners away from the other participants, but happy you enjoyed the posts. B.
