What a year!

It’s already 2007 in many parts of the world. We have 13 more hours to go here. Happy New Years!

2006 saw a lot of change in my life. Published a book, which has done very well. Mom dying. Quitting an awesome job and starting with a startup that doesn’t have an assured future. Moving. Sold and bought a house. Got a BMW and a big screen. Tons of traveling. Starting a new video show (in first three months have interviewed more than 50 CEOs).

Hopefully 2007 sees a little more steadiness, but I bet it’ll be just as chaotic as 2006. My son becomes a teenager in 14 days. Yikes. The years are ticking off awfully fast.

Here’s hoping that 2007 is a great one for you and your families. See ya on the other side.

    Rather than happy new year I’ll say “Joy and happiness for the rest of your life!”

    Change implies action and action is what we all need (especially me!) to make 2007 the best year ever.

  5. Best wishes to you, Maryam and Patrick in 2007, Robert. It was a crazy year and I’m sure you’re correct in that 2007 will bring additional change. Change is inevitable and how we react to its uncontrollable nature is what defines us. Watching your reactions to changes in 2006 was an enjoyable ride; looking forward to the new year!

  35. Anonymous: my dad just bought a Toyota Hybrid. Nice idea, but those cars are much more expensive than regular ones (usually $2,000 to $6,000 more). So, you gotta drive a lot of miles to make up the difference. And my Ford is paid off, so if I bought a new car I’d have a car payment to make. Although now that I wrecked the front, that’s something that’s a little more attractive to me.
