New Twhirl Twitter Client adds real-time-web integration

Last night Twhirl (one of my favorite Twitter clients) introduced a new version. Here’s Loic Le Meur, CEO, showing off what’s new in Twhirl.

Biggest new features? Ping.fm integration and Seesmic video integration.

Loic has a blog post explaining how to get it and he talks about lots of other new features. Highly recommended.

  1. Nice to see you both together, as far as the thirl, looks good and happy to see more features added.

    Hope to see more features soon for example incorporating twitpic not just link but thumbnail…..

  5. I so glad you like it, Robert. Apps only seem to improve when they have your support. It seems like a lot of people have migrated over to tweetdeck recently, but twhirl always felt right to me. Besides, tweetdeck doesn’t do ff, which is very important to also. The only new feature I’ve tried so far is search, and it is a definite improvement. The new seesmic features look great also. I’ll have to give them a try. It would be nice to be able to thread twitter conversations together and create groups like in tweetdeck. I’m glad I stuck with twhirl.

  12. Patrick, I use Digsby all the time. I do like the twitter client in Digsby and like that I can use Digsby for all my IMs. Twhirl’s advantage is because you can post in Twhirl and have it go through Ping.fm, you can post to you social sites, which is something Digsby can’t do. Also there is no integration for seesmic in Digsby. I think they serve two different markets, but there is some overlapping. I think it is best to use them together, they compliment each other. Just my opinion, but I could be wrong! 🙂
