Happy sixth birthday WordPress!

Six years ago WordPress was born, according to Matt Mullenweg who founded and runs the company that makes it, Automattic. My blog here is hosted on WordPress.com and I couldn’t be happier. I can’t wait to see what Matt does in the next six years. He has a few ideas, as he told me recently in an interview I did with him.

  1. Matt is a very cool character – he quietly built and manages one of the world’s largest info networks and gives almost all of it away. Happy Birthday WordPress and best of luck as we all blog on..

  5. Six years old and look how mature the product is already! I mean you can just see the improvements in various wordpress installations. I know many people who do not like to use wordpress because of some of the security issues but these get resolved extremely quickly. WordPress has been the cornerstone of my website network for a long time now and will be in the future.
