Ever wonder about the business of being on the radio or on TV? Leo Laporte is one guy who has done it all. On the way to this interview we were listening to him in the car on KGO Radio. He was one of the key people who started ZDTV/TechTV, which now is mostly gone. People who work with him have become household names. He is the king of tech talk and in this interview Leo tells us all about what the bleeding edge of creating media is like today. We talk a bunch about how media is changing now that everyone can create media and there no longer are gatekeepers you need to talk into distributing your videos or audio shows.

God, I just don’t have 35 minutes to watch your unedited interviews!
Do you see how this vicious circle works? You don’t have time to edit them, which means I don’t have time to watch them. And I’m one of many.
I guess I’d just like to point out that you or someone else spending some time to edit your War and Peace interviews would ensure that a lot more people see them.

By the way, Leo’s show has hundreds of thousands of viewers/listeners every week and it’s totally unedited and two hours long. Here you get a condensed version of Leo with just the interesting parts. So, go shove off.

Leo, is truly the king of tech podcasts at the moment. I love it when he diversifies his guest list – Levar Burton, John Hodgman. I’m just waiting, and hoping, for the Stephen Fry interview.!

King? Hardly. Kim is King and Queen and then some. Leo is just geeky Tech TV has been eternally trying to claw his way back to some semblance of prominence. Only so much tech blah run-on-hot-air one can stand.

great one Robert. Loved it just as it was. Although – as a geeky I would’ve appreciated a little more gear tour of Leo’s set up – but still – it rocked.

Terrific show Robert.
I’ve been an avid fan of Leo for several years now. I consume more of his content in a week than I do TV.
