We’re in San Francisco’s airport right now on our way to Shanghai, China. I’m mostly happy with how the politics came out, but now it’s time to get back to tech. If you unsubscribed or blocked me somewhere, sorry, but I did the same to a few people who were driving me batty.
Now looking at TechMeme we’re back to arguing about the future of Yahoo and all that. Glad to see that, see you when we get into Shanghai.
HA! – Glad I wasn’t the only that unfollowed or blocked a few people that were driving me nuts! Safe travels!

#1 If they unsubscribed or blocked you they wouldn’t read this, so… ?
#2 Mentioning that you did the same to a few people seems kinda petty.

Aw, c’mon Robert! Don’t act like the past is really behind us. It never really is.
You’re missing one of the coolest things — the “word cloud” at NYtimes.com, a real-time representation of peoples feelings about the election.

Good to see you back into tech… What do you think about this from Microsoft?

It would be interesting to dive deeper and understand the product offering and if it would intice startups to go with Microsoft technologies.

Ah, Robert!! Please – can you leave just one post about the election result!! I rode this one with you for the last few months and would just like to see your jubilation.
And you can make it tech related. Make it a piece about how Obama will affect tech. (Me thinks very positively since he’s right into to tech and used it greatly to his advantage in this election.)

I am glad it is going to be back to tech things. That being said, I am not sure why you apologized. You wrote what you wrote and should stand behind it and face any pluses and minuses. Otherwise it is akin to insulting someone personally while rooting for your team, then when your team wins – saying sorry as if you didn’t really mean it. I just wonder what you would be saying if your team lost.

Scobleizer – have you been to Shanghai before? It’ll blow your mind! Please go check out the universities where they are cranking out engineers by the boatload. India’s going to have a run for its money as a tech offshoring center soon.

— I guess the main strength of Indians here is their English. Are these chinese universities focusing on English education ? If that is the case, then yes, India will see some real competition. But if not, I highly doubt it.
