Companies: has TechCrunch 50 or Demo spurned you?

I’m wondering. Are there any good startup companies out there who aren’t getting into TechCrunch 50 or Demo that think they deserve to be in? Let me know! I’ll be at the TechCrunch 50 Conference. scobleizer@gmail.com

  1. We found not receiving one single question from TechCrunch50 a bit strange.

Whatever: TechCrunch50 is a business and they have to invite those companies that suits their (business) case.

  3. As I said at Social|Median, I think this is a great idea on your part. Hopefully some exciting ideas that slipped through the cracks at the big conferences will get some exposure here!

  5. We’re pre-TechCrunch 50/Demo. tEarn’s (i.e. target, earn) exitmerical advertising network changes brand advertising for publishers and advertisers.

We’re looking for beta2 publishers to participate (i.e. not technical test, but refining our targeting method based on shared conversations.)

  7. Nope. Every single viable startup will be presenting at TC0 and Demo. Everything else is garbage and will eventually fail.

  9. We were rejected last time around; which maybe was good thing as the program only went beta last week. Check out http://www.meetingmade.com. It’s a meeting scheduling tool that allows participants to share their available time for a meeting in real time. No software or plug-ins required.

  11. I am not sure we need the money, but this looks like it would be a good exposure/buzz opportunity. You recently met our CEO at gnomedex and joined our community … what do you think of SocialU?

  15. We had already launched last Nov.(thus disqualified), but still are trying to push out and get better exposure. The chicken is alive and needs good feed to lay great eggs!

Sorry I missed seeing you at Gnomedex to discuss this.

  17. Those start-ups not contacted were not eligible -eg: Engago Team who I see had web coverage and a blog running previously.

We also had web coverage at Gadgetelle, TechCrunch did say they would be very strict about this.

and a blog at http://www.trade2save.com/blog so this probably disqualified us too.

Anyway – for those interested, here is our 60 second promo which we sent to TechCrunch as part of our presentation. Launching late September.
