Talking with Tim Berners-Lee (inventor of the Web)

Here’s the interview I did with Tim Berners-Lee. It’s short, 10 minutes, and got a couple of questions from Twitter in. I’ll try to get him to answer some of the other questions that were left on my blog. Unfortunately he could only give us a 10 minute segment.

We also filmed his talk at HP Labs and the Q&A with the audience after.

More this weekend on what he said, I gotta get some sleep.

  1. although video is nice – it is okay to use a phone.

He is very hard to reach, and he has enormous info to share.

So, we do not have to WATCH him – his words are more important.

JUST CALL HIM ON THE PHONE or HAVE A VIDEO CONFERENCE – to fill out the complete of the interview, so that all the information is obtained. This is better than getting nothing at all.

Also, try to get an interview with…

  3. How do you go into an interview like this, knowing you have so little time, and find yourself fumbling for questions? I wonder what was going through his mind as he spoke while you dinked around with your phone. You can do better, Robert. Good information but that was uncomfortable to watch.

  5. Yeah the interview seemed a bit rushed; you didn’t get a chance to ask him about Al Gore’s contribution to the creation of the internet. Easy joke, I know – but someone had to make it!

  9. Although this may be unpopular now, but I think his way to express himself is hard to listen to, not Scobles interview.

I watched the other ~40 minutes video of his speech and I think it’s hard to listen the whole time, because of the short breaks while he’s speaking.

English is not my first language so I apologize upfront for this comment 😉

And what would we do without Tim Berners-Lee and the www! Please don’t get me wrong: He’s a genius!
