BIO:
Scoble gives you a front-row seat on the future.
Literally. He had the first ride in the first Tesla. Siri was launched in his house. He's been the first to share all sorts of technologies and companies with you, from Flipboard to Pandora to Instagram.
Today he's focusing on mixed reality, AKA "next-generation augmented reality" which will include a new user interface for EVERYTHING in your life (IoT, Smart Cities, driverless cars, robots, drones, etc).
That's based on his view thanks to his past experience as futurist at Rackspace.
Best place to find Scoble? On his Facebook profile at https://www.facebook.com/RobertScoble
He has been a technology blogger since 2000, was one of five people who built Microsoft's Channel 9 video blog/community, worked at Fast Company Magazine running its TV efforts, and has been part of technology media businesses since 1993.

SPEAKER PITCH:
Apple and Facebook now have revealed their Augmented Reality strategies, which means your business needs one too. Rely on Robert Scoble, the world's top authority on AR, to bring to your conference what businesses should do next.
SPEECH ABSTRACT #1:
TITLE: The Fourth Transformation: What's next in mixed reality (AR and AI) and the future of technology?
Here's an example of this talk at Leade.rs in Paris in April, 2017: https://youtu.be/52_0JshgjXI
Why "the Fourth Transformation?"
Soon we will have phones and glasses that do full on augmented reality. Everything you look at will potentially be augmented. This world is coming in late 2017 with a new iPhone from Apple, amongst other products. Microsoft is betting everything on its HoloLens glasses that do mixed reality and the industry is spending many billions of dollars in R&D and funding new companies like Magic Leap.
This future will be the user interface for IoT, Smart Cities, autonomous cars, robots, drones, and your TV.
This is a big deal and Robert will take you through what mixed reality is and how it will change every business.
Learn more about Robert's speaking style and contact his agent at http://odemanagement.com/robert-scoble/Robert-Scoble.html
++++++++
SPEECH ABSTRACT #2:
"The Next Two Clicks of Moore's Law."
Over the next four years, or two clicks of Moore's Law, a ton about our technology world will change. Scoble will bring you the best from his travels visiting R&D labs, startups, and innovators around the world.
He views the world through his rose-colored-mixed-reality glasses, which will be the new user interface for self driving cars, Smart Cities, IoT, and many other things in our world.
He'll send you off with some lessons for companies both large and small.
++++++++
SPEECH ABSTRACT #3:
"Personalized Meaning: What is Augmented Reality For?"
As we enter a far more technological world where even cars drive themselves, I predict we'll see a blowback toward the analog, more authentic world.
What role does augmented reality play in both worlds?
Get Scoble's insight into where augmented reality is going, see tons of real-world demos, and understand what he means by 'personalized meaning.'

Okay, it was bad enough being your own fan but now you’re blogging about being your own fan and blogging about someone else blogging about your being your own fan…. at what stage does the narcisissm end? 😉
Hey, don’t blame me, I’m just here trying to be “part of the conversation.”

At 68 years of age, I had my doubts but dipped my toe in the water a few weeks ago.
Imagine my surprise when I now find I have approaching forty friends, contacts and acquaintances pop out of the “woodwork”. Six of whom I had lost contact with over the years.
Mind you, to be fair, I don’t do things in half measure so did throw myself into the spirit of things. And allowed FaceBook to send invitations to all my contacts that I would welcome into my group.
I think the best thing about FaceBook is it allows you to keep in contact with your friends. Through the Newsfeed. This is a terrific idea. If a friend loads up an application, there’s an excuse to send a quick message to ask how they found it. A little thing, but keeps you in touch with people.
I’m sold.

Sorry, I don’t live in a walled garden. I started a ning group, but I have found that if I want real votes from real people for my real campaign for real mayor of my real town — social networking is of limited value. (As of this moment — give it a few years, though.)

Does anyone know how Facebook is planning to deal with administration of user-created Fan pages, once a big brand decides that they want control? Say that I create a Page for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream that gets a bunch of fans. What happens 6 months from now when the folks from B&J’s decide that they want to create a Page…and lo and behold, one already exists! Would Facebook transfer administrative rights to B&J, or would B&J create another Fan page that ostensibly competes with what’s already there? Given the possibility of this situation, I would think that brands will want to create their own Pages as soon as possible — or learn how to collaborate with fans who beat them to the punch.
Here’s a Facebook Page I created for Stanford University: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=6192688417. Definitely looking forward to seeing more apps that can be added to pages, currently the selection is small and non-Facebook created apps on pages have been pretty buggy for me.

I’m still not sure if I like groups or pages better for this type of thing. Pages are more customizable (with applications), but they lack the viral aspect because you can’t invite your friends to it. I know it shows up in news feeds, but inviting all my friends to join a group is much more effective than hoping they see it show up on their news feed.
Also, I haven’t seen mass adoption of pages yet in the mainstream facebook crowd. The only people I’ve seen becoming “fans” are the people actually making the pages.
