Baby’s on the way…

Maryam’s been in labor since 9:30 p.m. last night. She’s doing great. I’m keeping everyone up to date over on my Twitter account.

Oh, and Maryam’s the best wife in the world. Bought me a Canon 5D last night a few hours before going into labor.

Other than Twitter postings, and hopefully a Flickr photo once our new son shows up, my posting level will probably be light for a while.

  3. Of course I’m reading naked conversations and have been checking out your blog and found this very sweet post. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 3 OF YOU (your wife, you and the baby).

  5. Congrats…sounds like a good wife for sure. However you should have waited for the epidural, she probably would have bought you a 1D Mark III.

  7. You know the internet has changed your life irrevocably when you follow a complete stranger’s pregnancy for 7 months, and have been on pins and needles all day waiting for the new arrival. Here’s hoping Milan makes his debut today, both for poor Maryam’s sake, and because he’d get to share his birthday with my dear husband, who is the coolest guy I know.

    Best wishes!

  9. Congratulations!!!!

What’s amazing is that the entire medical staff in the maternity ward will be focused on Maryam and not you. Nobody will ask (or care) how you are doing and since it is a scientific fact that this is a more stressful time for the husband it makes it all that much more stressful.

    Good luck!

  11. Checked the pics in your Flickr Photoblog. Healthy little kid! Congrats to the whole family!

At the moment you upload pics frequently and I keep hitting the refresh button. Almost like a 0.1 fps movie! πŸ™‚

  13. Congratulations! I don’t have a twitter account but I saw all of your stuff on your page. Nursing can be quite challenging…tell Maryam to breathe deeply and give it at least 6 to 8 weeks…that’s what I was told. If I hadn’t had someone tell me I might have given up but I figured I could do anything for 6 weeks…especially for my baby…and by then it was smooth sailing. πŸ™‚

I’m sure you have a lot of support but if you ever wanted the opinion of a woman in a mixed-race marriage who has cut her entrepreneurial teeth in the high tech start up world, I’m more than happy to lend an ear.

    Now the real fun begins!
