Justin.tv gets cool UI

I love the “coverflow” UI that Justin.tv now has. Justin.tv is a live streaming video network. I’m not into watching a lot of streaming video (or doing it myself). I prefer a recorded set of videos ala Kyte.tv. Speaking of which, I’m going to record a video over on my Kyte channel in a few minutes talking about the New York Times article that talked about all the rich whiny people who live in Silicon Valley. See ya in a few.

  1. Nicholas,

My point was that “average person able to afford average property” was NEVER the norm.

Instead, the norm was “average person able to get foot on ladder – 7 years later trade up – 7 years after that, trade up… then you’re an average person, able to buy an average property but you also have an average amount of equity already.”

This has little to do with Justin.tv, but it was nice to start receiving visitors from Scobleizer today, so thanks for linking to me ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Had to block Kyte, their embedded player blows. It doesn’t load until it’s scrolled onto the screen, then it takes forever, plus it constantly hits the Kyte site so I get this annoying flicker from it and the Firefox status bar.

  5. Justin looks ok, but CRASHED repeatedly last night for their first big event.

Pretty embarrassing. I question the business acumen of these guys.

    Friendster of live video?

  7. I agree…Justin.tv is the “Friendster of live video” too much buffering, unreliable, crashing, and a 15 second delay….NOT live, but fresh video.

  9. Hey Scott,

I don’t quite understand your issues. kyte is a regular flash embed like every other video player (e.g. youtube, podtech, etc.). There is no difference to that. Through kyte you are connected in real-time with any other viewers and therefore there is a live connection. BTW, any chat widget or program does exactly the same. Therefore I don’t know why you would have issues? Feel free to write me an email directly at daniel.graf[at]decentral.tv.

    We always appreciate feedback.

    Best,
    Daniel

  11. I am honored to be a channel operator on Justin.tv, my show is called Vaspers Presents: Robot Mind Science, every night at 7 PM CST. And sporadically at odd unpredictable times.

Sure, they have some bugs and scaling problems. Don’t we all? We have nothing to fear but success itself, eh?

Justin.TV is lifecasting plus regular shows, thus usurping MSM stations.

Lifecasting is the New Blogging. Why blog about your boring life when you can webcast the whole dang thing? Not all channels are 24/7, but we all try to be.

Ron Paul, Naked Cowboy, Jonas Brothers, Timothy Daniel, Tibtie, iJustine, and many other streaming treats, the most bizarre maybe is my Robot Mind Science.

We use Logitech UltraVision and Flash Media Encoders.

    We rock.

Volunteer for surveillance today! De-privatize your banal life! Hook up to the look up!

  13. Friendster of live video or fresh video, it doesn’t matter. More importantly, it is friendly with fresh contents everyday. Agree? ๐Ÿ™‚
