Poke Scoble in the nose (or make your own game at mygame.com)

Want to build your own game with your own face on it? MyGame.com has the answer. Here’s a cute little game we created last week where you get to poke me in the nose. Ouch, knock that off. Hey!

You can see how this game was developed. I have an interview with Robert Norton, VP of business development at MyGame.com, and he also has a demo. In the interview he talks with me about the casual gaming market and how he sees things evolving.

Here’s an embedded version of the demo I filmed:

  1. I see that Aaron beat me to this (and I see that both of us wrote almost the same writeup – better communication needed next time! πŸ™‚ ).

Robert – if you’re a Popfly user, you can just mashup any set of pictures to the Whackamole block and you’ll get the same effect. Over the weekend, I saw someone do this with pictures of..well..let’s just say certain celebrities and it was a *lot* of fun πŸ™‚

  3. Speaking of casual games, I just found a fantastic mashup that one of our users built. It’s entitled Facebook Asteroids, and you can see it at http://www.popfly.ms/users/James/FacebookAsteroids

It takes James’ friends on Facebook and mashes them into Asteroids (hence the title, no?). What’s cool, though, is that you can take this, rip it, and pop your own facebook friends in there instead. Fun stuff!
