BIO:
Scoble gives you a front-row seat on the future.
Literally. He had the first ride in the first Tesla. Siri was launched in his house. He's been the first to share all sorts of technologies and companies with you, from Flipboard to Pandora to Instagram.
Today he's focusing on mixed reality, AKA "next-generation augmented reality" which will include a new user interface for EVERYTHING in your life (IoT, Smart Cities, driverless cars, robots, drones, etc).
That's based on his view thanks to his past experience as futurist at Rackspace.
Best place to find Scoble? On his Facebook profile at https://www.facebook.com/RobertScoble
He has been a technology blogger since 2000, was one of five people who built Microsoft's Channel 9 video blog/community, worked at Fast Company Magazine running its TV efforts, and has been part of technology media businesses since 1993.

SPEAKER PITCH:
Apple and Facebook now have revealed their Augmented Reality strategies, which means your business needs one too. Rely on Robert Scoble, the world's top authority on AR, to bring to your conference what businesses should do next.
SPEECH ABSTRACT #1:
TITLE: The Fourth Transformation: What's next in mixed reality (AR and AI) and the future of technology?
Here's an example of this talk at Leade.rs in Paris in April, 2017: https://youtu.be/52_0JshgjXI
Why "the Fourth Transformation?"
Soon we will have phones and glasses that do full on augmented reality. Everything you look at will potentially be augmented. This world is coming in late 2017 with a new iPhone from Apple, amongst other products. Microsoft is betting everything on its HoloLens glasses that do mixed reality and the industry is spending many billions of dollars in R&D and funding new companies like Magic Leap.
This future will be the user interface for IoT, Smart Cities, autonomous cars, robots, drones, and your TV.
This is a big deal and Robert will take you through what mixed reality is and how it will change every business.
Learn more about Robert's speaking style and contact his agent at http://odemanagement.com/robert-scoble/Robert-Scoble.html
++++++++
SPEECH ABSTRACT #2:
"The Next Two Clicks of Moore's Law."
Over the next four years, or two clicks of Moore's Law, a ton about our technology world will change. Scoble will bring you the best from his travels visiting R&D labs, startups, and innovators around the world.
He views the world through his rose-colored-mixed-reality glasses, which will be the new user interface for self driving cars, Smart Cities, IoT, and many other things in our world.
He'll send you off with some lessons for companies both large and small.
++++++++
SPEECH ABSTRACT #3:
"Personalized Meaning: What is Augmented Reality For?"
As we enter a far more technological world where even cars drive themselves, I predict we'll see a blowback toward the analog, more authentic world.
What role does augmented reality play in both worlds?
Get Scoble's insight into where augmented reality is going, see tons of real-world demos, and understand what he means by 'personalized meaning.'

Couldn’t one of you go into the Apple store and charge some batteries?
I’ve never been to the Palo Alto store, but the SF store has plenty of outlets.

Robert, the videos are great. I’m impressed by Patrick’s intelligence. Amazing.

Are you going to try and buy your iPhone on your corporate account and then be pissed when you can’t.
How does you waiting in line coincide with the earlier reviews of the Nokia phone you raved about and thought it blew away the iPhone?
Confused here

Not having a removable battery isn’t a big deal.
I could get another battery for my treo, but I haven’t. And I’d probably get a new phone before the battery needs to be replaced.
Not having a slot for an SD card is a bigger issue.

Where’s the power inverter for the car? Just put the laptop in there for a bit while it charges both batteries and call it good. Oh, and make sure the car is within sight so you don’t go to get the laptop and find a broken window instead.

Turn my face to the door
If it’s gone I can’t move on

Robert – nice reporting. Well done. And, Patrick is an impressive communicator. Clearly taking queues from Dad. I’ll be heading to an AT&T store in Issaquah tomorrow. A little sad that I can only buy one. I had plan to pick up about five for various folks at WhatCounts and Eyejot. Might have to make another trip to the Bellevue Square Apple store Saturday… if they have any left. BTW – give this a try: http://alpha.eyejot.com/microsite/iphone_demo (requires Safari 3). Hopefully it will work on the real device. I know the iPhone can’t record video (for now; easily changed with a software update). I just hope it can play embedded Quicktime! See you at Gnomedex!

So are you talent or are you tech. Talent puts you in my union AFRTA, if you opt for tech you could be NABET or CWA. Either way with the amount of air you are hogging, being an AFTRA member would get you talent fees everytime they talked to you. Nabet and CWA you just have to look like you’d break legs. (old joke no offense meant I have worked with both unions)
The reviews: Mossberg gushes the headline is the Iphone is a breakthrough handheld computer.
Steve Levy turned WTOP’s news-talk fm here in DC sort of a brownish hue, talking about how great it is.
I’ve met Walt and I do trust what he wrote. And by the way he has the 1st video on the allthingsd site.
Yeah got to buy some APPL before it becomes too pricey, this is going to print money for Apple.
FYI: AT and T is sponsoring the ATT National with Tiger Woods down the road from where I live at the Congressional Country Club in Potomac, I got a PR release yesterday that talks about the PDA device they will give to fans who ask for it to check the PGA tour website for the scores and the IBM shot link information. ( Palm did this when they were a company) And they also will have a broadband app that will allow you to enter into the the AT and T blue room. And by the way Verizon has the area wired for high speed TV and Internet via fiber.

Can’t wait to see your review of it, Robert.
Oh, btw, not sure if you’ve been following ZDNet’s blogger coverage of the iPhone-its been a bit controversial, given the negative aspects they have focused on. Now that Kingsley Hughes dude has resorted to moving from critizing the PRODUCT (iPhone), which is legitimate, to attacking anyone interested in buying the iPhone as “Stupid” (The “Stupid Rich”).
So ZDNet has resorted to attacking users and potential users of a product thru name calling, rather than just reviewing/criticizing a product. Very classy!
(Note that he doesn’t have an iPhone yet of course)

I followed your example and my two oldest daughters just had to be a part of mobile device history so now we are here first in line at our local AT&T store in Puyallup, WA huddled under umbrellas in the rain. They are 13 and 11 and so now we get to buy 3 iPhones for the family.
Have a fun and safe night and enjoy your iPhone!
