Danah Boyd writes the definitive paper on “friending.” She wrote this in December, 2006, but is worth bringing up since I talked about this issue this week.

Why link to this? Cause Danah’s my friend. Heheh. You have to read the paper to see just what might be meant by such a statement.

Seriously, one of the best hours I spent at the SXSW conference this year was on the floor listening to Danah. She’s the world authority on this topic. I’m sorry I didn’t link to this earlier.

    should i register for techcrunch20 conference and launch my idea then and there instead of now and here

    should i have a closed beta test- for u and other vips or have a open system of user testing and all?

    please suggest a way for me

    i know u are like my dad in age _hes 59 and u have hope in me when all have left me

    i feel like singing “i am mr lonely”

    my dad -way back in 2002 told me this_”i have faith in u my son. u are free to do whatever u want as long as u dont ask money”. i was given a comp -24 hours internet=in india in 2002 it was very hard and not cheap and given a pocket money of 100$ per month for not doing anything – just to sit and do whatever i wanted

    i saw a lot of web sites good and bad

    i was also engaged in a internet war with someone who told me he will hack me to death

    i was asked by 4 people “do u love me?”

    in fact heres the strangest thing of it all -in yahoo messenger in a chat room i have been loving someone who would come in a zillion user ids and passwords and i have to find who the person on the other end is i have found this to be the most challenging game i have ever played.u can be chatting with ur enemy or his friend or her friend or her or who.in fact i know i might be one of few people who has seen the net through both a gals eyes and the way the world sees her if she is online as well as a boy as well as a lover – finding the ruler among the saints aND A COMPUTER PROFESSIONAL- in technical terms

    do u know what raja rishi means- it s my lovers male name
    and
    it means kings advisor – raja means_king and rishi is a common north indian word for hindu saint
