BIO:
Scoble gives you a front-row seat on the future.
Literally. He had the first ride in the first Tesla. Siri was launched in his house. He's been the first to share all sorts of technologies and companies with you, from Flipboard to Pandora to Instagram.
Today he's focusing on mixed reality, AKA "next-generation augmented reality" which will include a new user interface for EVERYTHING in your life (IoT, Smart Cities, driverless cars, robots, drones, etc).
That's based on his view thanks to his past experience as futurist at Rackspace.
Best place to find Scoble? On his Facebook profile at https://www.facebook.com/RobertScoble
He has been a technology blogger since 2000, was one of five people who built Microsoft's Channel 9 video blog/community, worked at Fast Company Magazine running its TV efforts, and has been part of technology media businesses since 1993.

SPEAKER PITCH:
Apple and Facebook now have revealed their Augmented Reality strategies, which means your business needs one too. Rely on Robert Scoble, the world's top authority on AR, to bring to your conference what businesses should do next.
SPEECH ABSTRACT #1:
TITLE: The Fourth Transformation: What's next in mixed reality (AR and AI) and the future of technology?
Here's an example of this talk at Leade.rs in Paris in April, 2017: https://youtu.be/52_0JshgjXI
Why "the Fourth Transformation?"
Soon we will have phones and glasses that do full on augmented reality. Everything you look at will potentially be augmented. This world is coming in late 2017 with a new iPhone from Apple, amongst other products. Microsoft is betting everything on its HoloLens glasses that do mixed reality and the industry is spending many billions of dollars in R&D and funding new companies like Magic Leap.
This future will be the user interface for IoT, Smart Cities, autonomous cars, robots, drones, and your TV.
This is a big deal and Robert will take you through what mixed reality is and how it will change every business.
Learn more about Robert's speaking style and contact his agent at http://odemanagement.com/robert-scoble/Robert-Scoble.html
++++++++
SPEECH ABSTRACT #2:
"The Next Two Clicks of Moore's Law."
Over the next four years, or two clicks of Moore's Law, a ton about our technology world will change. Scoble will bring you the best from his travels visiting R&D labs, startups, and innovators around the world.
He views the world through his rose-colored-mixed-reality glasses, which will be the new user interface for self driving cars, Smart Cities, IoT, and many other things in our world.
He'll send you off with some lessons for companies both large and small.
++++++++
SPEECH ABSTRACT #3:
"Personalized Meaning: What is Augmented Reality For?"
As we enter a far more technological world where even cars drive themselves, I predict we'll see a blowback toward the analog, more authentic world.
What role does augmented reality play in both worlds?
Get Scoble's insight into where augmented reality is going, see tons of real-world demos, and understand what he means by 'personalized meaning.'

Oh, you may also want to give a pair of Bluetooth headphones a whirl, since the N95 does indeed have the A2DP Bluetooth profile to support such hardware.

Try the Nokia Sports Tracker app, and something like Locr will help you geo tag photos (although I think Shozu does too). Both are ideal for your next photo walk!

Robert, I’ve got a few I’ll recommend with a bit of linkage:
Fring – great VOIP app, now has twitter alerts incorporated, can use it with msn, etc
Seven – Perfect for push exchange email and pop3 email, as well as gmail, yahoo, and others, currently in open beta
Spodtronic – will handle all your podcast needs and you can also use it for internet radio
and of course the N95 WOM world for the latest in the social media about the device, apps, etc 🙂

A bit beyond my blogging techniques for now (but I’m trying to learn). Could you direct me to a page that discusses how to properly embed a YouTube video, as you have clearly done? I am using a plugin and it works okay with one WordPress theme but not another, but it also does not show in the feeds: just a link does. What I am using may work okay for my readers, which is what I most care about, but I want to ensure I am doing the best I can technically with this.
I know you’re busy beyond belief, but would much appreciate some advice.
Thank you much.

How is your battery life now that you are running Shozu? Many people have experienced drained batteries, as the Shozu application runs 24/7 in the background…
It is a pity, because it seems to be the only interesting application that can do many things, including blogging and GeoTagging…

Check out the UPnP stuff in this article. Very cool stuff and interesting that it uses open standards etc. Also there’s a bunch of other info on the above site. Personal favourites are Nokia’s Podcasting app and Nokia Internet Radio (plays arious streams). Epocware, Psiloc, Wildpalm and Zingmagic all have some interesting basic apps and games. e.g. Sync your text messages to Gamil, location aware profiles, font magnifier, puzzle games, weather stuff.
Others have already mentioned Fring but there are a whole load of VoIP solution – Barablue, Truphone, Gizmo and the truth is any VoiP service will work if you get the settings entered, the above just provide easier set up via wizards.
You probably already know about Google Maps, but check out the third part GMaps which combines the Yahoo, MSN, Google service etc + more into one application. Other location apps include Viewranger (UK only), GETrack (the combine with photos to geotag (or geotag using Shozu just have the gps application (in the tools folder) on at the same time as taking photos – shozu does the rest.
There’s load of stuff – really depends what your thing is!

Hi Robert! Followed you for some time now. Always worth the read. Keep up the good work!
My essentials are:
let’s start with The Bookmark at my N95’s S60 Browser:
http://www.google.com/reader/m..🙂
Apps:
Nokia podcasting app:
http://europe.nokia.com/podcasting
Gmail on the go:
http://mail.google.com/mail/help/intl/en/about_mobile.html
And Google has maps to offer as well.
Opera mini:
http://www.operamini.com/
this is another browser, not as good as the Nokia’s (IMO), but if you pay a lot for your data service plan, this is good little java app.
And don’t forget to check out the latest at Nokia Beta Labs (you can find Sports Tracker, Wellness Diary and Gizmo project from here):
http://www.nokia.com/betalabs
LifeBlog is a favorite of mine:
http://r2.nokia.com/nokia/0,,71739,00.html
I have used Nokia smartphones for four years now and I have everything (pictures, videos, voice memos, text notes and SMS’s/MMS’s) from that time in a chronological order in my PC.
And you should install PC-Suite:
http://www.nokia.com/pcsuite
to your computer, it makes everything so much easier than 3rd party app’s in offer for the same tasks.
BTW, the N95 can be configured to uppload posts and pictures to http://www.vox.com and Flickr…and mayby to other services as well. Just check out the service providers mobile FAQ and there you find what you need if it’s there.

There is a good list of Symbian 3rd edition essentials over at http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/item/S60_3rd_Edition_Essentials.php
The coolest app I have on my N73 is the SlingPlayer, but I think that the Symbian version is only available via 3 here in the UK.
Shozu is great (and from my hassles with my old SE K750i the team behind it are really helpful too), however as I tend to want to use photoshop to clean up the pictures from my N73 I don’t tend to use it that much to upload to Flickr. Looking at the shots you’ve uploaded to Flickr so far the N95 seems to be producing better images though.

Hi there
Thanks for your comments on ShoZu. I’d just like to respond to the question on battery life as we’ve seen it come up in other blogs before. There’s a great post on our forum from our Client Architect which I hope sheds a bit more light on this:
http://forum.shozu.com/showthread.php?tid=545
We are working on an official version for the N95 which addresses a couple of issues and will also wake the GPS in the background automatically so you can tag your pics. The problem with the N95 is that the GPS antenna takes quite a long time to get signal lock so we are working around that (in the meantime you can simply have the Nokia Maps or Sportstracker app running in the background and we’ll detect your coordinates).
Hope this helps and happy to see you having fun with our app!
Best,
Mark
