BIO:
Scoble gives you a front-row seat on the future.
Literally. He had the first ride in the first Tesla. Siri was launched in his house. He's been the first to share all sorts of technologies and companies with you, from Flipboard to Pandora to Instagram.
Today he's focusing on mixed reality, AKA "next-generation augmented reality" which will include a new user interface for EVERYTHING in your life (IoT, Smart Cities, driverless cars, robots, drones, etc).
That's based on his view thanks to his past experience as futurist at Rackspace.
Best place to find Scoble? On his Facebook profile at https://www.facebook.com/RobertScoble
He has been a technology blogger since 2000, was one of five people who built Microsoft's Channel 9 video blog/community, worked at Fast Company Magazine running its TV efforts, and has been part of technology media businesses since 1993.

SPEAKER PITCH:
Apple and Facebook now have revealed their Augmented Reality strategies, which means your business needs one too. Rely on Robert Scoble, the world's top authority on AR, to bring to your conference what businesses should do next.
SPEECH ABSTRACT #1:
TITLE: The Fourth Transformation: What's next in mixed reality (AR and AI) and the future of technology?
Here's an example of this talk at Leade.rs in Paris in April, 2017: https://youtu.be/52_0JshgjXI
Why "the Fourth Transformation?"
Soon we will have phones and glasses that do full on augmented reality. Everything you look at will potentially be augmented. This world is coming in late 2017 with a new iPhone from Apple, amongst other products. Microsoft is betting everything on its HoloLens glasses that do mixed reality and the industry is spending many billions of dollars in R&D and funding new companies like Magic Leap.
This future will be the user interface for IoT, Smart Cities, autonomous cars, robots, drones, and your TV.
This is a big deal and Robert will take you through what mixed reality is and how it will change every business.

SPEECH ABSTRACT #2:
"The Next Two Clicks of Moore's Law."
Over the next four years, or two clicks of Moore's Law, a ton about our technology world will change. Scoble will bring you the best from his travels visiting R&D labs, startups, and innovators around the world.
He views the world through his rose-colored-mixed-reality glasses, which will be the new user interface for self driving cars, Smart Cities, IoT, and many other things in our world.
He'll send you off with some lessons for companies both large and small.
++++++++
SPEECH ABSTRACT #3:
"Personalized Meaning: What is Augmented Reality For?"
As we enter a far more technological world where even cars drive themselves, I predict we'll see a blowback toward the analog, more authentic world.
What role does augmented reality play in both worlds?
Get Scoble's insight into where augmented reality is going, see tons of real-world demos, and understand what he means by 'personalized meaning.'

Remember the iPhone vs N95 debate we had at the Bloghaus? I was the tall stuttering drunk guy and my friend was the skinny, equally as drunk, funny guy?
“Steve Jobs could shit in a box and call it iCrap and people would still buy it!”
Well I just want to let you know that a lot has changed since speaking to you. A company called intomobile has decided to hire me and I’m going to be paid to blog! This isn’t a part time job either.
I can’t believe how lucky I am and I honestly can’t wait to see you again at the Bloghaus 2008. You’ve been an inspiration of mine. I left a stable telecommunications company to work at a startup who has only been alive since March.
Risky, but I’m following my heart. Not my wallet.
Thanks again Scoble. Enjoy your N95! I have a N93, E61i, 9300 and I’m saving up for an E90!

Cool. Zooomr is still slow.
Robert, can you find out the Yahoo’s Tech Support no and publish it?
I tried to contact Yahoo!Help via Yahoo!IM. No response at all. Happy face is always on (smiling yellow face). I need to call Yahoo Tech Support too.

Hey Robert, first; thanks for a lot of interesting videos and blog posts the last years!
Second; you’re aware that with Flickr too, you can get a easy to remember address like Zoomrs rather than the /photos/35034363287@N01/? Infact the same, just swap the domain. I believe you’ll find the option somewhere in your account pages. The url /photos/scobleizer seems available at this time.

Are you sure zooomr is back? It is timing out. Why dont they just give up? What makes this startup so special that we must endure hourly updates on how terrible the service is? Are there not thousands of other struggling sites who don’t even get a mention from the A list? Why cant zooomr just give up and go away already?

Ask Yahoo next time you interact with them why I had to sign in with MY Yahoo ID even to see your photo at full resolution.
Don’t you see what they are doing? Doesn’t it bother you at all that anyone you decide to share that photo with has to add themselves to Yahoo’s database in order to see it?
Does it bother you at all that they have a history of changing the rules when they weren’t getting enough sign-ups? What if next year they made you watch a 15-second info-mercial before being able to see your pics?
That’s why I’m using Google, and yes, they could pull such a switch too, but so far they haven’t, and Yahoo on several occasions, has.
I want products that are out there to improve. Doesn’t matter if they are open source or proprietary, doesn’t matter if they are monthly fee or advertising based, doesn’t matter if they are giant companies or two kids in their parent’s basements.
Demand that Yahoo provide full and open access to your photos and they will. Let them get away with it, and you’ll face further limitations down the line. Furthermore, if everyone else sees that Yahoo is getting away with this, they’ll pull the same stunt, confident that users aren’t paying attention.
Vote with your feet for no-limitations on your own content.

all of this buzz about the nokia makes me want one. I got a nokia 770 a while back and even though it didn’t have a camera it was a really nice piece of equipment.

Kristopher,
Extend your session timeout on your server setting or browser scripting setting.
Your homepage image http://static.zooomr.com/images/404620_e2de239b9c.jp is 500×333 122KB. The file size is 3 times larger than industry standard IAB recommendation. If you can reduce it down to 40KB, it may help first time visitor loading this page, reduce their frustration. Compress the photo to reduce image size or slice image up for quicker loading.
Just helping 🙂 We are still going to eat some healthy warm food.

>El Guapo: it’s going to have some troubles as they bring it back online.
Why is it worth saving? Cause I like what they’ve been doing and think it has value. If I see something else I like using going down I’ll speak up about that too. It helps that Kristopher and Thomas are both friends of mine, though.

At the moment Zoomr can’t find the Scobleizer page.
Robert, the N95 snaps on Flickr are awesome. I notice that the large sizes aren’t all that usable, and that might be related to a setting somewhere.
(The N95 may be claiming a larger size than resolves cleanly or there may be something in how Flickr will go to a lossier JPEG to keep the file small enough. And I have no idea what I am talking about.)
You will be shocked to learn that I finally got a digital camera. I don’t expect to ever go back. I still manipulate the images before uploading, but the workflow is much easier now and the lag to posting is not quite so terrible (but not as fast as using your phone).
PS: I logged out of my Flickr account and I could get to your photos. Just to be safe, I logged out of the Yahoo network completely, and I still got to your Flickr pages.

Etienne: yeah, those are to be expected as Kristopher works on tuning up his engine. This is the problem with only having one set of servers. Gotta be messy in the public eye.

If that was in response to my post: The problem is not that you can’t get to the photos, but that you can’t get to them in full rez. Try deleting cookies etc.
This is not a bug, this is their policy.
