So, I was just playing around with Google’s new street side photos. Hmmm, sounds like something that Microsoft did more than a year ago back when I worked there. But, go to Google’s headquarters in Mountain View and you’ll see a bunch of people standing outside. I wonder who they are? Why are they holding shovels and rakes and other gardening tools? Why are they all wearing green shirts? What do those shirts say? What team do they belong to? So many questions.
Say hi to the Googlers with the gardening tools

Interesting. My 2nd comment did show up. Any way here is the original.
Looks like their shirts have yellow vans on them. Used the zoom button ;-). My guess this is the team that took the photos by driving around in yellow vans. Anyone see and slow moving yellow vans driving around? Wave if you do, you can become internet famous!

I saw tons of neat stuff on the new google van cam gps thing.
I wanted to say Roberts blog has gotten us business just from posting here, so I decided to pay tribute and buy this 24 inch late model mac for the office. The newest contract programmer, is going to be getting a big surprise in their office tomorrow. 🙂
Cause I know Scoble is a mac nut. This puter cost 8 times or more than the same machine running Linux, but what the hay, it’ll be deducted off gross! As for the G00glers, that’s crazy. I’d love to work there, but know I never will.

I noticed on Microsoft’s version you could see the white van reflected in store front windows. I briefly tried this in downtown San Fran, but was not able to get a clear reflection. I did see what looked like a yellow vehicle reflected in an ATI van parked on one of the streets.

ATI should have been ATD. Guess I have video cards on the mind.

Maybe they were having a Memorial Day party? Hmm, don’t see them burning any flags… so maybe not.

Found the van. Go to the link below. Look in the window of the white building, and zoom in. It appears to be a blue Astrovan with some funky stuff on top.

For anybody wondering it was on the Daily Planet show with Jay Ingram and Natasha Stillwell on Discovery Channel Canada last week. They showed the inside of the van and the people driving it and everything. Really neat technology.
