New Technorati rocks

I just did a few searches. First thing I noticed is how fast it is. As fast as Google! I hope that lasts, even as tons of bloggers come back to try out Technorati. Second thing I noticed? I like the design a LOT better than the old Rati.

Third thing I noticed? Searches are better than the competition.

  3. It’s interesting to see the way video appears in Technorati search results. Where blogs have a heading and a first sentence as a hook for readers the videos just have whatever picture the video starts with. Technorati doesn’t show any video titles or descriptions. People submitting videos are going to have to think about an opening frame with a picture to show what the video looks like and some text and branding to indicate what the video is about to attract search visitors.

    Either Technorati is paying you or they have your IP address and send you to the fast server and me to the slow one. I just went to Technorati and it took 5-30 seconds to load pages.
