Are you taking pictures of your day?

Flickr’s blog: first light in New Zealand. Today is 24 hours in Flickr. Are you taking pictures? I’ll post mine later. Cancun is so beautiful.

  1. Go visit the Mayan ruins while you’re at it.
You can do so much while at a destination that’s unrelated to work and still deduct it as a business expense. I went to Universal Studios when I was in Orlando for other reasons for instance. Take the really expensive guided tour if you have a lot of gross to get rid of. Just a suggestion.

  3. I’m curious, does everybody from the show get free trips or is it just Scoble?
Did Rocky get to go too?

I assume there was a board resolution to set aside X amount of cash for business vacations with the VC members ect. But does it include everybody or just Scoble himself?

I kind of think it would suck for the rest of the people if that was the case.
I know networks and even cable shows bring staff along.

  5. “Forbes paid my way. Not PodTech.”

I wonder how they reconcile buying trips for people who aren’t employees to Cancun?

I love how big corporations get away with murder at the IRS, but when an individual tries to claim a questionable dependant, all hell breaks loose. I guess they count on there being so much paperwork that it all gets lost in an audit.

  7. Here is what I’ve been thinking about today:

    – Mexico city shakes a bit, someone twitters it, techmeme goes crazy, A-List bloggers go so far as to video phone calls with “survivors”, wrap themselves in the cloak of “see what twitter can do”, and count the web hots

    – a major disaster occurs in Kansas where real tragedy happens, perhaps nary a twitter to be twitted (from what I can tell), and nothing…silence…

Not surprisingly, there must not be any gain from faux concern in an actual tragedy for the A-List.

  9. Who knew meant that he thinks A-list bloggers are crybabies who dramatize and blow up any minor event to get sympathy and traffic. I don’t think he was specifically referring to Robert in this case.
