Adobe ships CS3, I ship three videos

In celebration of Adobe shipping its CS3 suite tomorrow I visited three teams, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Apollo, and had conversations with them. Those three videos are now up on ScobleShow.

For those of you who don’t have the nearly three hours to spend, my editor, Rocky, put together a highlights selection — that’s only 15 minutes long.

  1. Robert,
You should take a look at the work the Aptana team is doing.

Adobe is singing an interesting tune but one inch beneath the surface, everything they do is proprietary: flex, flash, Apollo and as such they do not take advantage of the true power and organic/Darwinian development which is currently happening around web development/technologies.

In a couple of years, companies like Aptana, Firefox and others will make Flex, Flash and Apollo look like a ping with bad lipstick.

  3. Damn, Scoble – GREAT Dreamweaver interview. I’m googling prices right now – the demo was enough to make me upgrade and DW is the focus of 70% of my daily workday.

Can you *please* tell this guy that DW users want their windows back? He’ll know exactly what I mean.

They made a sale because I got a demo from you. A good Monday morning.

  5. Robert,

To avoid looking like a pig with bad lipstick, the Aptana web site should clense itself of its flash content.
