It’s a Tweet from Zoho!

Oh, I guess someone IS reading my Twitter account (this time over at Zoho). Heheh. On Friday I went to their offices in Pleasanton to meet with Raju Vegesna of Zoho. Zoho is building an impressive suite of “Work 2.0” services (things you can use at work to collaborate with other people).

They have spreadsheets, word processors, meeting apps, and many, many other things. Have you tried any out? I’m trying some out. The Work 2.0 space is hot and Zoho is a big reason why. As to Twitter, I post a lot of stupid, lame, things there. You’ve been warned. Oh, and don’t check out Twittervision. That’ll keep your attention for at least two minutes. Twittersearch is a good way to search for anyone who has said something lame about anything. Like I said, it’s lame. But I’m addicted. So are thousands of others.

Tweets are what we call posts on Twitter. Tweet. Tweet. Tweet. Good night.

Zoho is OK – certaibly the best online office apps out there, Google D&S doesn’t come close, and they have excellent customer service – but what really bugs me is that each of their apps looks like they were designed in total isolation from one another. Each app has a *completely* different GUI meaning climbing another learning curve each time you try something new.

  7. Oh must also add that the Box.net intergration is great – works a treat and can be very useful when you’re away from your own computer.

    Yes, the various Zoho apps indeed were developed separately (Zoho Writer got released in Sep ’05 and Zoho Wiki in Dec ’06). And each team that built the app had the freedom to choose their own UI. But now, we are working on converging everything. Expect a common UI (with various themes as choices) soon 🙂

  11. We’re trying Zoho CRM out and it’s pretty good. We’ve never used CRM software before, but after some poking around and reading we’re able to use it reasonably effectively. It’s amazing how much they’ve built into the product – it feels more full-featured than many desktop apps I’ve used.
