Don’t register domains when you’re drunk

We were out to dinner with Tango Diva Theresa Williamson and she was wearing something fuzzy, so we were having a bunch of fun (they are playing Xbox) and thought “is somethingfuzzy.com available?” and, what do you know, it is!”

What will we do with that? We have no idea, but the idea of registering a domain like that on GoDaddy just made us all laugh. Yes, we’ve had way too much to drink. What the heck.

Who said “don’t blog after two shots of Scotch?” Not me! 🙂

Hope you’re having fun on Friday night like we are.

  1. When you are drinking your conversation usually turns to crap. I would have thought you would have researched the below web sites before posting on the department of silly walks and the like.

    PorcelainProclamations.com
    PorcelainPhilosophy101.com
    ThroneHugger.com
    CrapperVisionary.com
    CrapperThoughts.com

WTMTOYH “way to much time on your hands” There will be a $50 finders fee. Thanks in advance.

  3. Sometimes I think the whole idea of OpenDomain was some drunken dream, except I do not drink. (Hey – I’m not a saint, but I prefer sobriety) Some of the domains I have registered are a little weird, but I like to think I did some good. I wish I could go back in time and fix things some of the mistakes I made, but at least I was able to make friends with Dries (and I contributed OpenAjax.Org –that’s gotta count for something!). Next time you see Matt, please apologize for me.

  5. I don’t think it’s actually that bad. Hopefully it’s a warm domain. Might make a good gift.

I own a few interesting ones, like http://www.nextgoogleceo.com 🙂 Which has led people to share some extremely interesting business plans and senior level roles with me. I will likely land with one in the not too distant future.

  9. After a night of drinking I bought a couple of domain names: BigHeadBaby.com and foreplayers.com

I let the first expire, and I’m ready to let the second one go. There’s only so many websites you can work on.

  11. Isn’t it always amazing the randomness of domain names that people can come up with and then you discover no one else has registered. Always an interesting trip.

Sounds like a fun domain name no matter what you do with it and it’s way to early for me to start making up ideas. *grin*

  15. Since a lot people may cruise the internet after a night of drinking, why not make “somethingfuzzy” a website dedicated to this. Displaying funny pics and videos, new drinks, drink ideas, drinking games, and something to do when you are feeling a little queazy?

  17. A good friend of mine registered foreversimple.com. I thought that was pretty cool until he got bit with the register cool domain names bug. For the next few days I started getting calls like “What do you think milkymusic.com or inkpill.com”. I told him to give it up and behappywithwhatyougot.com
