Steve Clayton does two things. One, gets a video of Hugh Macleod “ScobleShow style.” Hugh writes those cartoons that everyone loves to hate or hates to love or something like that. Me? I love them and can’t wait to hang out with Hugh in London next week. Two: gets me to try out Microsoft’s new Soapbox player interface. Looking good! But what’s up with the 4:3 format? Go 16:9 Microsoft and let’s get rid of the old video format and make it look just as lame on the Web as it does on my HDTV screen at home.

Robert – thanks for the link and looking forward to seeing you in London next week. You up for a quick interview at the GG Dinner?
The Soapbox 4:3/16:9 is my error not theirs. Hugh and I are getting to grips with this vloggging stuff and the Sony HD camera. Part 2 will have the same issue but post that should be sorted.

Would be fun if you’d be up for doing another London Geek Dinner organised by Ian Forrestor (cubicgarden.com) or London Girl Geek Dinner organised by Sarah Blow (sarahblow.com). Perhaps a talk on the subject of podtech etc & the challenges of delivering audio visual content / IPTV. Sadly, the big geek Xmas bash which is being organised by BBC Backstage (which Ian Forrestor is also involved with) isn’t until 9 December, by when you may have skipped town.
