What do you think of my link blog? Should I keep doing it? I’ve found it fun to do. It forces me to read my feeds (and I’ve been subscribing to more lately) but wonder if you get any utility from it?
How many pages do you read on it? Every day I probably post about 50 items or so. Yesterday alone, for instance, I posted 60 items. That means you gotta click on six “more shared items” links.
Actually, I don’t do any page-clicking at all — I just subscribe to your link blog’s RSS feed and skim the articles at my leisure (Come on… you’re the one who loves RSS!).
I find a number of interesting articles through your link blog that I might not have found otherwise, so thank you for publishing — and my vote is to keep doing it!

The problem is that right now google is not giving us a lot of ways to “customize” those pages, and the only way I’d see would be using a PHP that reads the RSS feed, but the PHP code I found the RSS not having ALL items 😦 Thing is (and not to forget), google reader is still in “labs” state – and we rely totally on it (my whole Podcasting business relies on it), which makes me freakin out sometimes 🙂

I am a huge fan of your link blog, and your linking blogging has inspired me to do my own link blog (which incorporates a number of your shared items as well as a bunch of my own from the 150 feeds I follow).
I think the concept of link blogs is really cool. I would love to have more insights in to what other bloggers and blog readers think is cool. I would love to see a link blog for Mike Arrington or Om Malik or Jason C. or Thomas Hawk. Or Exilarator, StuFF mc, Laurens, Bangalor bytes, and Matt. To that end, mine is http://www.google.com/reader/shared/01270030268309960468
Keep it up Robert. You are at the sneazer end of what is another way of sharing personal information with the world.

One thing that intrigues me is that little JS call they provide, to let you put a “clip” on your page…. The first parameter/value pair in there (?n=xx) is based on the number of items you specify.
try sticking n=15or n=20
Also works for sharing your public tage

Love it. I, like some others here, end up w/ duplicates to articles I’ve already read, but I suspect there’s a way to scrub the dups out, and in the mean time, it doesn’t take long to cruise over articles I’ve already seen.
BTW, I’ve been using shared feeds, too, with some items in common with your feed, but also some articles from my blog, and some business-related items.

I like it. I see a pattern in reading lists. You can count on someone else’s taste. It makes for predictable reading. Collaborative filtering is cool. Scoble-averative filtering. Mainly, you gotta filter your reading somehow to get to the good stuff in a reasonable amount of time. I have 15 tabs I bookmarked for my browser to open all at once. Skim them and then go to the aggregator. Peek at the latest podcasts. But, relying on a link blog like yours is valuable because I trust your taste.

I suscribe to the link blog. It works great for me and I am always finding interesting things to clip and keep. There’s some duplication with feeds I already subscribe to, but this is a great way to learn about other feeds that I don’t monitor or that I don’t even know about.
So it works for me, because you notice a lot the same kinds of things that I am interested in. And even though there are also things I don’t care about, the quality is very high for me.
Seeing how well this works, I’m tempted to set up a river and do the same thing. But it’s only temptation so far. And a mild one at that. Heh.

Speaking of leaking to your links blog, I have a thought. Suppose I want to link to one of the blog your earmarked, how could I link to your link blog, as well as link to the blog where you found it, as well as link to the original post, in one go. There should be a widget that allows you to put the whole chain at the bottom of one’s own post. It would credit everyone, and it would be interesting to follow the original post’s voyage. But maybe there is already one such widget, and I am not aware of it.

I know this is the wrong place to ask …. but.
Do you know anyone who can help me develop an electric guitar for someone without the use of legs, hands etc. He has full range of motion of his arms with the exception of his hands. I thought of some form of modified keyboard type system or slide motion for the forearms.
Please let me know if you know anyone or team who might want to help. He played in a band when he was younger and you can see the longing in his eyes when he sees people playing on stage or in church. Thanks in advance. Please e-mail me contacts. I’ll try to come up with a way to fund it out of my pocket.

A question – maybe there are politics involved that I don’t get, but why not use del.icio.us for the links. You can still have an RSS feed from those links, but there is a good infrastrucure in place for finding new links and sharing links in place. For most people, there would be no functinal change — an RSS feed full of linky goodness, but it would allow easty access to see how you have tagged things in categories, and I can also see how many other people are linking to the things you link to.
