I’m trying LicketyShip out (just turned on publicly this morning). Unfortunately the first thing I wanted (some more Avery business card holders for binders) aren’t available from LicketyShip. But my friends who’ve tried the service say that it works great and gets stuff to your office in a few hours. I wrote about them a while back, but they are using shipping services and couriers to get stuff to you in less than a day.
I imagine one day I’ll be able to jump on a service like this, say “I’m heading to San Jose airport at 1 p.m.” and have it tell me if there’s a package waiting nearby that I could pick up and make some money. Anyway, nice UI.
One thing is that it starts up an IM if you have a problem. So far no human has answered. That’s not good. I’d love to see a webcam of who’s answering customer service questions so I would know if he or she is on break or not. It says they are online…
I punched in 24″ Imac and my zipcode on IE7 and it barfed on the double quote… FF won’t barf but brings back wrong results

$20 for two batteries? A little too pricey don’t you think?

Phil: yeah, but look at it this way. A lot of Silicon Valley geeks get paid $40 an hour or more. So, if they have to drive down to the store, buy the batteries, and come back to the office, it’ll cost a lot more than $20.

@John – your estimated shipping cost is displayed on the product page.
You can get a final shipping cost after entering your credit card number. Your card will not be charged until you confirm your order, as it says on the page.
@Raghu – thanks for the bug note, we’re aware of the problem and fixing it 🙂
@Phil – our price is comensurate with most company’s overnight shipping fees. In some cases we’re cheaper, in some cases we’re not.

a Robert Pazornik & Doug Kent joint”
JOINT? JOINT? Boy, if that doesn’t sound like some college-kiddo class project. Cue up the Webvan music now. As they say in Missouri, show me. Middlemanish firm, just with all the Silicon Valley web-juice API’ish blog-ooze, with an ‘alpha’ banner to boot.
Somehow I don’t think Fred Smith is sweating bullets here.

Looks like a cool service but they spammed me. I live in the DC area and have never signed up to get email about anything in SF or this site. Interesting service offer that I am just not really in need of here but the email had me thinking about it for a few seconds. Hooray for spam!
