Don told us how he survived without a TV: TVRSS.NET. He also told us that Prosper.com rocks. It’s “eBay for loans” he says. Great way to make small investments, you tell the system what interest rate you want to earn and how much risk you’re willing to put up with and people bid on taking your loan. Pierre, one of the founders of eBay is behind this.
He recommends using UTorrent to download shows.
Hasan Diwan told us about Consumerist, which is a site that encourages people to post their customer service problems.
Bud Ozborn told us about a new beta service he’s been playing with: Freenigma. It’s a way to encrypt your Hotmail or Gmail email.

http://www.prosper.com is interesting. Especially to me, because during the dot com bust, I looked for funding this idea. I had it much more developed than what prosper.com has implemented.
Of course, it feels nice to be proven right even if it is proven years later that the idea had value. Somebody has cared to implement it!
The only implication for prosper.com is that the idea is not patentable in the USA anymore.

Robert, what’s your take on downloading TV shows? (I’ve been using tvRSS and µTorrent for awhile now, and I agree that it’s a great way to keep up with my favorite shows.)

While Prosper.com caters mainly to the US market, there’s another site called http://www.GlobeFunder.com which caters to the global crowd, especially those living in the third world.
