I got to know the 88Slide folks a little better at VLoggerCon. This blog is a little video trivia show (it’s only one minute long every day). You watch them every day, answer the question, and get entered into a lottery for winning a prize.

Anyway, Noah Bonnett, executive producer, tells me they are gonna give away a one-year’s subscription to Netflix on next Thursday’s show.

So, that got me all wound up, as if I’m not wound up enough (today is my last day at Microsoft) so I go over to the Beachwalks’ video blog to see what’s up. What’s Rox talking about? Money, money, money. Talking about Bill and Melinda Gates’ foundation.

I can’t wait to do my own “walks on the beach” show — I’ll send it in to Rox for free. Rox has nicer beaches to play on with her dog.

I love the “Skype the Conch” button. Heheh. What a great lifestyle. Do you have a great lifestyle? Why don’t you share it all with us?

  1. Well it’s not so much a lifestyle, but at the moment I’ve landed a great gig. Carnoustie Golf Links is hosting the 2007 (British) Open, and I’m blogging/vlogging/podcasting their preparations. You can follow along at http://www.carnoustiegolflinks.co.uk/blog

    The upside of this gig is that the Championship course at Carnoustie is a links course (i.e. by the sea) on the east coast of Scotland. So most sunny days I can be found wondering the beautiful course, chatting to great people about their jobs and what the Open will mean for them. Man, does it get any better than that? 🙂

  5. ^^ Now thats a nice golf course 🙂 I used to play at Bingley St Ives (UK) not a links course, but had a few major comps in the late 70’s.

    Am I the only one who can’t stand watching beachwalks??

  25. He he Robert, I am looking forward to your video blogs. I am thinking about having a guest beach walker once a month – maybe you’ll consider? The ingredients are usually (but not always):
    – a beach
    – a walk
    – a dog
    – a quirky take on life, that is connecting not divisive

    Congrats again on making the big leap into a smaller pond. It’s exactly the kind of story we like on Beach Walks – bravely venturing out of the known world into the unknown world and doing things differently.
