BIO:
Scoble gives you a front-row seat on the future.
Literally. He had the first ride in the first Tesla. Siri was launched in his house. He's been the first to share all sorts of technologies and companies with you, from Flipboard to Pandora to Instagram.
Today he's focusing on mixed reality, AKA "next-generation augmented reality" which will include a new user interface for EVERYTHING in your life (IoT, Smart Cities, driverless cars, robots, drones, etc).
That's based on his view thanks to his past experience as futurist at Rackspace.
Best place to find Scoble? On his Facebook profile at https://www.facebook.com/RobertScoble
He has been a technology blogger since 2000, was one of five people who built Microsoft's Channel 9 video blog/community, worked at Fast Company Magazine running its TV efforts, and has been part of technology media businesses since 1993.
++++++++
SPEAKER PITCH:
Apple and Facebook now have revealed their Augmented Reality strategies, which means your business needs one too. Rely on Robert Scoble, the world's top authority on AR, to bring to your conference what businesses should do next.
SPEECH ABSTRACT #1:
TITLE: The Fourth Transformation: What's next in mixed reality (AR and AI) and the future of technology?
Here's an example of this talk at Leade.rs in Paris in April, 2017: https://youtu.be/52_0JshgjXI
Why "the Fourth Transformation?"
Soon we will have phones and glasses that do full on augmented reality. Everything you look at will potentially be augmented. This world is coming in late 2017 with a new iPhone from Apple, amongst other products. Microsoft is betting everything on its HoloLens glasses that do mixed reality and the industry is spending many billions of dollars in R&D and funding new companies like Magic Leap.
This future will be the user interface for IoT, Smart Cities, autonomous cars, robots, drones, and your TV.
This is a big deal and Robert will take you through what mixed reality is and how it will change every business.
Learn more about Robert's speaking style and contact his agent at http://odemanagement.com/robert-scoble/Robert-Scoble.html
++++++++
SPEECH ABSTRACT #2:
"The Next Two Clicks of Moore's Law."
Over the next four years, or two clicks of Moore's Law, a ton about our technology world will change. Scoble will bring you the best from his travels visiting R&D labs, startups, and innovators around the world.
He views the world through his rose-colored-mixed-reality glasses, which will be the new user interface for self driving cars, Smart Cities, IoT, and many other things in our world.
He'll send you off with some lessons for companies both large and small.
++++++++
SPEECH ABSTRACT #3:
"Personalized Meaning: What is Augmented Reality For?"
As we enter a far more technological world where even cars drive themselves, I predict we'll see a blowback toward the analog, more authentic world.
What role does augmented reality play in both worlds?
Get Scoble's insight into where augmented reality is going, see tons of real-world demos, and understand what he means by 'personalized meaning.'

Dude, you must be just getting RSS transmitted directly to your brain if you can catch my comment on Toby’s blog that freakin’ fast.
Lorraine chided me for being up late last night, I told her it was your fault ;). Regardless, watching the whole flow of information last night was just amazing. Forget about RSS readers I was watching the shifting sands on Techememe, trackbacks, everything.
I think this is going to be held up as one of the examples of rapid news/information transmission of 2006. This is why this toolset and technology is so powerful, so world-changing. And when it comes down to it, it doesn’t have as much to do with blogging as it does with the massive amounts of data inter-connectedness that we see now.
Just mind boggling (or mind bloggling?). My mind has a picture of the rapid connections going on and spreading. The transmission of information at such a rapid pace it isn’t a spread, it’s an explosion.
Again, all the best to you. If you can do for PodTech what you did for Microsoft. The sky is the limit.

Thanks for the shout out Robert. You mentioned Tris’ comment about bloggers blogging on a Saturday night (sounds like a country song!) but what about the ‘more presents for Maryam’ 😉
Seriously, it will be great fun to watch over your shoulder as you enter the podcast/vlog worlds. No matter where the road takes, it will be an exciting adventure! All the very best.

Congratulations Robert,
I knew that something big was coming when you invited Steve Gillmor earlier. Although Chris Pirillo mentions that you would have been crazy if you didn’t accept the position it’s interesting that the biggest software company wasn’t able to keep you.
I totally get your move though. Besides the new challenge stuff, being at Microsoft you had to focus on the company’s products and they are not the only company innovating. Imagine being able to do Channel9 like videos for the tech industry, if I am reading it correctly at PodTech you will get the chance to meet, interview and influence not only Microsoft people but also other guys in the tech world, this looks interesting to get podcasting and videoblogging mainstream.
The earthquake is still on. I still can’t access to TechCrunch and PodTech just got back, could it be because of your announcement?. I just wondered how the traditional news will pick this tomorrow and if it will have any impact on MS stock price, it will be an interesting case to prove blogging power and your readership influence.

Congratulations. Many of us feel that we have come to know many people through blogs, all with their own lives and characters, and you have certainly lived yours in the open including this move, although I still had to check the calendar to make sure it wasn’t April 1st again.

Good move on a variety of levels.
I left a long carrer in radio after my mom died and moved into IT never been happier.
But having posted my first podcast I was not thrilled with the bad tools, the worst uploading hell and how long it took to assemble one 18 minute piece. (yup had to be perfect). wnwyradio.wordpress.com. It’s historical radio see if you know where you last heard the air talent’s voice.

It is ironic that this exit is coming right after the latest overhaul in Microsoft’s HR policies towards its employees.
It will be interesting to read Mimi’s response.

I’ll admit that I have no life outside of emiting pixels. Saturday night is a great time to go to work when the only people to interrupt you are the groups who show up to play pool or ping pong down the hall.
In any case, once again, good luck.

Sorry Tris and Robert, and Robert, particularly you 🙂 you need to stop taking an insular, West Coast view of the Blogosphere and remember that blogs actually don’t just exist in your own time zone, it was about 3pm the following day when I first read about it (oddly enough, 11pm your time) and many of the bloggers running with it were across various time zones around the world. We aren’t all on US PST you know! 🙂

Personal appearance has a tremendous impact on the way people are treated. The better you appear the more favorable you are treated. As a 28 year old successful business professional I am in a struggle part of my appearance. The question is what do I do with all my gray hairs. I have enough where I get my hair got short so my grays are not noticeable. My explanation to my girlfriend is for every one gray hair represents one dollar I have spent on her. Six month into our relationship there is not a man on earth that would make that equation work. I recently visited her at her work, a day care center. The kids asked why her why her dad is here. It is time for her dad to get another haircut.
