Squeet your way to Feed Buzz stats

Squeet just shipped a new version today which lets RSS feed producers (aka bloggers) watch how much buzz their RSS feeds are generating.

To me, though, Squeet is a cool way to convert RSS feeds into emails. Good way to get your favorite blog emailed to you. Never miss when your mom posts again. πŸ™‚

  3. Congrats to them on their new release. I’ll have to take a test drive.

Feedlinx (http://www.feedlinx.com) also had a new release this week of its WordPress Plugin. The plugin allows you to easily add an email subscription box to a WordPress blog — The cool new features include complete customizability through your own stylesheet AND full control over text through a custom .js file. The custom text enables multilingual support for your email subscription box.

I was even thinking of setting up a “California Dude” box on my blog (http://www.voiceoftech.com/swhitley). I’m not sure if, “Like, totally get emails, Dude,” would fit on a submit button. πŸ™‚

  5. I prefer zaptxt.com for email of rss feeds, as they don’t have a horrible linkback verify approach. Squeet sends me a link via email that I have to click to verify the whole thing. That means I can’t email my phone. Zaptxt.com beats squeet hands down in this regard.

  7. I will give this new version a try. There is certainly a need for email feeds as not everyone is technical enough to figure out RSS. Take dear old Mom for example, πŸ™‚

  9. Aside from the non-tech savvy this is a great tool for communters like me. I take a non-wifi enabled train everyday and would love the ability to go through my feeds while I’m on the train. Also, if you use a desktop app. like Vienna, it’s a great way to get your feeds when you are away from your primary computer.
