Great Honda ad

I agree with Liz Lawley, this is a great Honda ad. Here’s why it’s great: it’s aspirational (translation, it makes you feel good) and it shows you their products being used.

I wish Microsoft’s ads were as good (the Xbox ones are close, at least they make you feel good).

  1. Seeing people use their xbox makes me mad. Guess who still hasn’t got their grubby fingers on one despite hitting the local best buy every single morning at opening time?

  3. Man, I feel the same sense of adventure and pride when I’m driving my kids around town in my Honda Odyssey! Great ad.

  4. Scoble, you are so right, Honda’s advertisements are far superior to Microsoft’s and you have to admire their creativity and brashness. Microsoft are a big company and they would be very brave to try and pull off something as audacious as that.

  6. Hey Scoble,
I’m sure you’ve seen the blog about the video game playing grandmother: http://oghc.blogspot.com/

Has she gotten a free Xbox 360 from Microsoft yet? If not, I think she should. Maybe you can press some buttons to make it happen. That would be pretty good marketing for Microsoft and you’d make someone’s grandmother happy at the same time.
