I want one of these in my car

The Foursprung blog has photos of a Media Center in a 1999 Buick Century. That’s cool.

  1. Search the internet for ‘carputer’ and you will find a whole world of products for doing this. There are several people here on campus I know that have done this down to in dash stock looking touch screens with Wi-Fi for easy to update access to the car at home, GPS, etc.

http://www.mp3car.com/ has some nice high res shots of nicely done systems in their forums as well as selling most of the necessary hardware…

  3. Careful, California and Illinois have laws against TV screens that may distract drivers so the Media Center should be in the back seat.

Every Sports bar, Conference Room, Waiting room, RV and Yacht should have a Media Center.

  5. Had my original post been sourced, instead of one linking to a post about my post, you would have gotten the direct link over to the forums where my fellow Windows Digital Media MVP, Diane Dumas, posted her additional photos and details on what the setup consists of:

    1999 Buick Century Custom 4-Door

The thing that makes this project different than most car computer efforts is Media Center. There are tons of touch screen interfaces, but almost no one applies the touch screen in combination with Media Center.
