Phil says a comment here disappeared

Phil, over on the “Platformwars” blog says that he left a comment here and now it’s gone. I don’t knowingly delete comments. I wonder if any other comments are disappearing?

Anyway, his post is in reaction to the business author who said I should be fired. His point was very interesting. Says that author did that to ingratiate himself with bosses who wouldn’t put up with someone saying a bad word about their companies. Most companies are like that. Heck, when we interviewed Mark Cuban for our book he came out and said he would never allow that kind of blogging.

Is having a boss who is willing to put up with some criticism important? Yes. It buys me a LOT of loyalty to Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer (and Sanjay and Vic and Eric and Steve and Jeff).

One other thing, Phil, can you put your name and your email address on your blog? I wanted to write you but couldn’t. Also, since you’re using Blogger can you make it possible to leave a comment without being a Blogger subscriber?

    I have a PVR that the Slingbox controls. Sorry for not making that clear.

    Joe: each of my last three jobs not only asked about the blog, but the interviewing team had Googled me and had printed out dozens of my blogs to discuss during the interviews. I’m very convinced that my blog significantly influenced their decisions TO hire me.

  19. Did his comment get filtered as SPAM (Dashboard > Manage > Awaiting Moderation), by chance?

    In my dashboard, I also see a notice saying there was a major hardware failure, which could be the cause as well.

  31. I use my website for resumes, earlier i used to use the website, where people used to comment on various resumes, then one day the bad thing happened all the comments on various CV disappeared, the database was damaged. Finally I had to close the comments section on my resume website

  53. This problem happened with my blog as well and it came out to be a problem by Disqus script, but I see that this problem is no more present, they must have fixed it.
